The press kit we send by mail contains our full fee schedule both for keynotes and seminars. When you hire one (or both) of us to speak, you have our commitment to doing the research it takes to present a truly customized program that will be of the highest value for your audience. We’d like to discuss your needs and objectives with you, and determine how we can be of the greatest value for your meeting. Then we’ll be able to quote a fee, based on our standard fee schedule. We’re very happy to openly discuss specific figures when we talk by phone, Reasonable travel expenses are charged to the client, at our cost, and generally include air fare, hotel, meals, and ground transportation. We’re happy to provide you with an estimate of those charges for your event - OR - to lock in a flat travel allowance based on our best estimate of what our travel expenses will be. We know that when it comes to travel expenses, you don’t like surprises. And neither do we. We’re pretty low-maintenance. When we’re flying within North America, all we ask is for an upgradable coach ticket. If we feel like upgrading to first class, we’ll do that with our frequent flyer privileges, our own money, or our good looks. So we’d better keep those frequent flyer privileges up-to-date. For engagements outside North America, our fee will take into account the extra time involved. And we’ll ask to fly in business or first class. We’re both too cranky to fly across the ocean in coach if we can help it. If possible, we’ll upgrade with frequent flyer miles or certificates.
Copies of Contented Cows Give Better Milk (hardback, paperback, and CD audiobook) can be made available for keynote audiences and others at your meeting. You may elect to provide a copy for each attendee (see our volume discount schedule), or the items may be made available for individual sale to attendees. Bottom Line Leadership Seminar participants (up to a maximum of 30) receive a copy of Contented Cows Give Better Milk in hardback or audiotape form, as well as a seminar workbook, as part of the seminar fee.
A deposit of 50% of the speaking fee holds the date when you book an engagement. The balance is due when we've delivered the program.
When you book us for a speaking engagement, we take that date out of our inventory, and begin working on your program. We often have to decline a future invitation because we've been booked for the date the client wants. If, for some reason, it becomes necessary for you to cancel the engagement, it's usually impossible to recover that date, unless we have ample notice. Because of that, we have a cancellation policy that our clients think is fair, reasonable, and makes everyone accountable. If the program is canceled by the client at least 42 days (6 weeks) prior to the program date, the entire deposit received will be refunded. From 21-42 days before the program date, the client forfeits the deposit. In the event of cancellation less than 21 days before the program date, the client forfeits the deposit, and is liable for the balance of the fee. If the program is canceled by us, the entire deposit received will be refunded to the client. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you about any ways in which we can be of service to you.
